Support in Columbus

Along with many of the recipients of these updates, I spent Saturday at OEA’s Representative Assembly in Columbus. It provided an opportunity to sign up about sixty new supporters, and this will be their first update from my campaign. Continue reading “Support in Columbus”

Meetings with a Purpose

Much of my professional life has been a story of meetings, whether as a teacher, a union president, an NEOEA and OEA leader, or now as NEOEA Executive Director. This new quest is not so different. Continue reading “Meetings with a Purpose”

About the Contrarian

I’ve enjoyed two marvelous careers: first as a teacher of English and theatre (and, occasionally, psychology); and second as executive director of the North Eastern Ohio Education Association (NEOEA).

But I’ve always had other interests: public policy, parliamentary procedure, union leadership, music, genealogy, and photography. Since retiring in 2017, I’ve focused on those interests.

As is perhaps obvious, I’m still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up.
